Know Canada Study Visa 

Every Year Canada welcomes abound 200,000 international students from various countries.All international students looking to study in Canadian educational institutions  need a study visa.A study visa allows international students  to live and study  at approved institutions for the duration of their course.
There are some exceptional cases where you do not need a study visa to study in Canada
  • If your course duration is less than 6 months
  • If you are a daily member of a foreign representative 
  • If you are a member of foreign armed forces


Eligibility for Canada Study Visa
  • Acceptance letter from school,college or University in Canada.
  • Need to meet financial criteria to cover your study, living expenses and return travel arrangement for you and your family member who are with you in Canada.
  • You must be a law-abiding citizen with no criminal record and not be a risk to the security of Canada. You may have to provide a police certificate.
  • Medical to show good health.
  • Immigration officer must be satisfied that you will leave the country after completing your studies.
Working in Canada as a Student
As an international student you can work in Canada as a student under CIC work program for students.
It is possible to work in Canada, while you are here as a student, under any Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s (CIC’s) work programs for students.
  • On campus without a Work Permit;
  • Off campus with a Work Permit;
  • In Co-op and Internship Programs, where work experience is part of the curriculum, with a Work Permit.
In addition to this, spouses or common-law partners of foreign students are eligible for a work permit for the duration as the study permit.
Upon graduation, a foreign student may apply for a work permit under the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program. Under this program, the work permit may be issued for the length of the study program, up to a maximum of three years
